Given: Perimeter of the square
HOPE = 24 cm.
Length of each side
=244=6 cm

Given: T is the mid point of EP.
PT=62=3 cm

Thus, in a right-angled ∆PNT, we have
PN = 5 cm, PT = 3 cm.

By Pythagoras’ theorem, we have
TN=PN²PT²=5²3²=259=16=4 cm

Area of PEN=12 (Base×Height)Base EP = 6 cm, Height TN = 4 cm.

Area of PEN=12(6 cm×4 cm)=12 cm2
