Open in App
Solution

John paid for the watch = Rs.1330
i.e. this cost price of watch for john = selling price of the watch for Ibrahim.

cost price of the watch for Ibrahim will be :-
cost price = (100 × selling price) ÷ (100 - loss %)
cost price = (100 × 1330) ÷ (100 - 5)
= 133000 ÷ 95

cost price for Ibrahim = Rs. 1400

Hence cost price of watch for Ibrahim = selling price of watch for Gopi.

So Gopi sold it to Ibrahim for Rs. 1400.
