Solution

The correct option is C Vasopressin
A. Oxytocin is secreted from the posterior pituitary and helps in the contraction of uterus during childbirth and also stimulates release of milk from mammary glands i.e. lactation.
B. Parathormone is secreted from parathyroid gland. It increases calcium reabsorption from the bones and causes mobilisation of calcium in the blood.
C. Androgen is a sexocorticoid produced by adrenal cortex. It stimulates the deposition of protein in muscles and nitrogen retention in males.
D. Vasopressin or Anti diuretic hormone (ADH) is secreted from the posterior part of pituitary gland. This hormone increases reabsorption of water by nephrons in kidneys and this results in decreased rate of urine production.
So, the correct answer is 'Vasopressin'.
