When grain is stored in inadequate conditions , various abiotic and biotic factors like moisture, temperature, insects, fungi, bacteria etc. may act on it and destroy it or the grains may loose their weight due to high temperature conditions dehydrating the grains and leading to the loss in weight of the grain.
