Open in App
Solution

The adrenal glands are divided into two distinct parts namely, the cortex and the medulla. The adrenal medulla secretes two hormones - adrenalin and noradrenalin. Adrenalin is secreted at the time of emergency to face physical or emotional stress. It increases the force and frequency of the contraction of cardiac muscles resulting in an increase in blood pressure.
