How an electoral roll is prepared

Dear Student,
An electoral roll also known as Voter's list is prepared by the election commission of India and it is the responsibility of the government to get the names of all the eligible voters put on the voters’ list.
All the Indian citizens who are above 18 years of age are eligible to be in the electoral roll.
The electoral roll for each constituency is be prepared in the prescribed manner as per the norms of election commission.
