How and why did Russia withdraw from the First World War?

Open in App
Solution

Russia withdrew from the first world war because it had lost badly in Germany and Austria between 1914 and 1916.
When they withdrew from the war, Russians destroyed the crops and buildings to prevent the enemies from living on their land. This destruction of land however led to 3 million refugees in Russia.
