Open in App
Solution

When there is an increase in the blood flow (volume) and pressure to the atria of the heart, the release of ANF (atrial natriuretic factor) is caused. Its release causes vasodilation and a decrease in the blood pressure. Thus, it works oppositely to renin- angiotension mechanism by inhibiting the release of renin.
