The antibiotics play a very important role in inhibiting the growth of the microorganisms or pathogens in the following ways:
1)It inhibits the events which lead to the growth and the development of the bacteria or the pathogen causing the diseases.

2)The antibiotics prevent the bacteria from making their new proteins which cause diseases.

3)Some antibiotics prevent or stop the replication of the DNA which is the genetic material for the bacteria.
