Question

How are all form of energy in scalar quantity where as they have magnitude and directions (eg. Electricity flows from negative terminal to positive terminal).shouldn't they be in vector quantity??

Solution

Dear Student
The energy do not have direction it only have magnitude so it is a scalar quantity. The electricity is nothing but electric current.Yet this have direction but it is a scalar quantity because it follows scalar laws of addition,it do not follow law of vector addition that is the angle between the wires do not affect the total current in the circuit.
