How are camel adapted to live in desert?

A camel is adapted to desert conditions. The following adaptations are found in camel.

(i) Its hooves are covered by a large sole which helps it to move on the hot slippery sand.

(ii) It has a hump on the back which is filled with fat. This fat is utilized when the camel does not get anything to eat.

(iii) It has long legs to keep the body away from the heat of the sand.

(iv) Water gets evenly distributed in different parts of its body and not in a specific pocket or an organ.

(v) It excretes very little water from its body through dry dung.
