There are agents, who act as a carrier or vectors and they carry the disease-causing microorganisms and spread from one person to another person.
These vectors include mosquitoes, rats, cockroaches, houseflies, etc.
Cockroach as the vector-
Like mosquitoes and houseflies, cockroaches are also cosmopolitan in their distribution.
They are found in kitchens, sewage, office, bathrooms, almirahs, godowns, and many more places.
They feed on bread, food, leather, wood, dead plants, and animals.
These are the vectors of many diseases like dysentery, typhoid, leprosy, and tuberculosis as their body and hairy legs carry the pathogens and deposits on them.
