Question

How are endemic species likely to become extinct due to man's interference?

Open in App
Solution

Endemic species are found only in a particular area due to geographical isolation. Hence, even a little human interference in their habitat might alter the environmental conditions prevailing in that region, which might result in death of a large number of individuals of the species, as the whole population is restricted to the same geographical region. This might make a species go extinct or at least prone to extinction.
