2. The direction of this restoring force is always towards the mean position.
3. The period $T$ is the time for one oscillation and the number of oscillations per unit time is the frequency $f$.
4. These quantities are related to each other as follows:$f=\frac{1}{T}$

Hence, frequency and time period are inversely proportional to each other.
