Question

How are mangoes picked from trees?

Open in App
Solution

Mangoes can be picked manually or with an instrument called picking stick. It is a 4−6 m long stick fixed with a loop of strong wire at one end. The loop is large enough to fit easily around the mango. A cloth is stitched around the wire loop so that the mango falls into the bag.
