how are particles of matter affected with increasing or reducing pressure on the matter at a different temperature

At a particular temperature, on increasing the pressure, the particles of matter come closer to each other and the intermolecular force of attraction increases. On decreasing the pressure they occupy more volume and the particles are here and there, and they experience lesser force of attraction.
