  • In simple words- it's the group of people with more or less distinguishing characteristics that are inherited over generations.
  • Traits that we can observe visually are one of the most prominent inherent characteristics.
  • They include:shape of the head, facial features, shape of the nose, shape and color of the eye , skin color and stature.
  • On the basis of geographical distribution and physical characteristics, the world's population is divided into 4 main human races: caucasoid, negroid, mongoloid and australoid.
  • Caucasoid
    • They are also known as european race
    • The prominent physical traits are fair skin, dark brown eyes, narrow pointed nose and wavy hair.
    • The people of this race inhabit the Erasian region
  • Negroid
    • The prominent physical traits are dark eyes, dark skin color, black wooly hair, wide nose, long heads and thick lips.
    • People belonging to this race inhabit different parts of Africa.
  • Mongoloid
    • Are known as the Asian-American Race
    • Their prominent physical features include: straight hair, flat faces, broad heads, medium noses and light yellow to dark brown skin.
    • People belonging to this race inhabit Asian and Arctic regions.
  • Australoid
    • Their prominent physical features include: dark brown to nearly black skin, curly hair and wide nose.
    • People belonging to this race inhabit Australia and some parts of southeast Asia.
