Open in App
Solution

Proteins

  1. Proteins are biomolecules made up of long chains of amino acids.
  2. Proteolytic enzymes break down proteins into amino acids.
  3. These amino acids, upon deamination, enter Kreb's cycle in the form of various intermediates.
  4. They can either form pyruvate or Acetyl Co-A and participate in aerobic respiration to produce ATP.
