  1. Ribosome is a cell organelle found freely in the cytoplasm or attached to the rough endoplasmic reticulum.
  2. It is a membrane-less organelle involved in protein synthesis.
  3. They are made up of ribosomal RNA and proteins.
  4. In the nucleolus, these ribosomal proteins and rRNA assemble and produce ribosomal subunits.
  5. These subunits are exported from the nucleus and form ribosomes.
