    • In rural areas due to the lack of amenities people living here have a low standard of living, lack of quality education, health care facilities and technologies.
    • But the population of rural areas is less compared to urban settlements.
    • And are less polluted compared to the later.
  • Urban settlements:
    • The occupations that are practiced here are not directly related to agriculture or farming and are non-agricultural in nature.
    • People here enjoy a high standard of living and have advanced civic amenities.
    • Urban areas are overcrowded as people migrate to cities in search of jobs and education causing lack of space and due to which it has high pollution rates.
