How are solutions classified based on the type of solvents?
Based on the type of solvent, solutions are classified into two types:-
1. Aqueous Solution: The solution in which water acts as a solvent is called an aqueous solution. (e.g. sugar solution).
2. Non-aqueous Solution: The solution in which any liquid other than water acts as a solvent is called a non-aqueous solution. Solution of sulphur in carbon disulphide is a suitable example for non-aqueous solution.
