Question

How are the genetic instructions arranged?

Open in App
Solution

Genetic arrangement:

  1. The sequence of DNA bases is arranged into chromosomes, most of which contain the instructions to build an amino acid.
  2. The genetic directions applied to establish and maintain an entity are orderly oriented in DNA strands.
  3. The threads of chromatin comprise DNA and linked proteins are present in the nucleus.
  4. The DNA is surrounded by a collection of histone proteins.
  5. Nucleosomes are single, wrapped DNA-histone complexes.
  6. Many nucleosomes with the full DNA molecule appear as though a beaded necklace.
  7. When a cell undergoes division, the chromatin condenses to form chromosomes, hence DNA can be transported safely to the daughter cells.
