Solution
When magnets are not in use, they tend to lose their magnetic properties. So, for the safety of magnets, they should be kept and stored in magnetic keepers. In magnetic keeper, a pair of bar magnets are kept with opposite polarities facing on one side and the soft iron pieces at their ends with a piece of wood in between the two magnets. By magnetic induction, opposite polarities are developed at the ends of each soft iron piece and a close cycle is formed. This prevents the loss of magnetism of magnets.
