let the velocity of the wave be V, Time period T, frequency v, and wavelength $\lambda$.

By definition of wavelength is distance traveled by the wave in one time period i.e T.

Or, Wavelength = wave velocity * Time period

$\lambda =V\times T$

Or, $V=f\lambda$
