How are the xylem vessels arranged in dicot root?

Protoxylem is the primary xylem in which narrow vessels are formed while metaxylem is the mature xylem with wider vessels. In the root, the narrow vessels are present towards the periphery while the mature vessels are present at the center and are called exarch condition.
