Urea is the chief nitrogenous waste, which is eliminated through urine in humans. Urea is produced in the liver from ammonia. Urine is formed by the nephrons after filtration, secretion, and reabsorption. The composition of urine is 95% water, 2% urea and rest creatinine, urobilinogen, inorganic ions and other metabolites.
