When we look at an object, light rays coming from it enter the pupil of the eye and fall on the eye lens. [1 mark]
The eye lens converges the light rays and produces an image of the object on the retina. [1 mark]
The retina has a large number of light sensitive cells. When the image of the object falls on the retina, the light sensitive cells generate electrical signals. The retina sends these electrical signals to the brain through the optic nerve and we are able to see the object. [1 mark]
