Question

How can a farmer convert acidic soil to neutral soil ?

Open in App
Solution

A farmer can convert acidic soil into neutral soil by adding fertiliser rich in base which will neutralise the effect of acid present in the soil.

Add nitrogenous bases like Ammonium Hydroxide (NH4OH). In this way, the nitrogen in the soil is also retained, and the acid is also neutralised.
