Solution
Biodegradable substances:
Waste materials that can be broken down into simpler, non-toxic substances by microorganisms are called
biodegradable
substances.

This waste undergoes degradation due to the action of
enzymes
or biocatalysts secreted by microbes and enters the
biogeochemical
cycles.
Reuse of biodegradable waste
:
When any biodegradable waste is degraded and mixed with soil it becomes available for the other plants to absorb.
Biodegradable waste can be utilized as an excellent source of manure for plants by creating compost pits in houses, schools, hotels, etc.
Vermicompost

Cowdung can be effectively utilized as a source of
Gobar
gas
