How can fluorescent lights and neon signs be plasma ??

Inside the tube gas (neon sign uses neon gas and fluorescent lamp uses mercury vapour) is present which gets ionised on passing electricity. That is why it resembles plasma which is having ionised gases at very high temperature. So we can call fluorescent lights and neon signs be man made plasma.
