  1. Government passed many laws for the conservation of biodiversity.

Some laws which are passed Indian government are:

  1. Indian forest conservation act 1980:

According to this law, no forest land can be diverted for nonforest purposes without the permission of the central government.

2. Indian forest conservation act 1927:

This law ensures the protection of forest land, nongovernmental forest and forest products.

3. Wildlife protection act 1972:

Under this act, a large number of sanctuaries, biosphere reserves and national parks were established.

4. Environmental protection act 1986.
