How can the boiling point of a liquid be raised without adding soluble impurity ?

Open in App
Solution

Hi,

By increasing the pressure, boiling point of the a liquid can be raised without adding soluble impurities.

Reason : Pressure makes a liquid boil at a higher temperature. This is because of the fact that on increasing a pressure particles of the molecules becomes closer and therefore high heat is required for their separation and hence boiling point increases.
