• Therefore, conservation of water becomes important not only at national level but also at the individual level.
• In this present scenario of water scarcity and drying of water bodies due to environmental changes, water pollution caused by human activities we should adopt different methods to conserve water.

1) Rainwater harvesting is one of the best methods to preserve the purest form of water i.e rainwater for periods of water shortage.

2) Reusing wastewater wherever possible example for flushing toilets.

3) Recycling of wastewater through purification at a water treatment plant.

4) Installing low-flush toilets and composting toilets which uses less water.
