3. Relative density:- Relative density of a substance is defined as the ratio of the density of the substance to the density of water under similar conditions.
4. Formula:- $Relativedensity=\frac{Densityofsubsatnce\left({\rho }_{subs\tan ce}\right)}{Densityofwater\left({\rho }_{water}\right)}$
5. To identify the purity of the substance we calculate the density of the substance and then compare it with the density of water.
