How can we prevent the loss of top soil ?

Loss of the topmost layer of the soil is called soil erosion. It can be prevented by :

1. Plantation of trees because trees help to hold the soil tightly and prevent soil erosion.
2. Prevent overgrazing because it affects the growth of small plants and herbs which prevent soil erosion.
3. Stop cutting down forests because they will help to hold soil tightly and not let the topmost soil be eroded by heavy rainfall and wind.
