How can we say that a reaction is exothermic or endothermic?
Give some examples of both type of reactions.

Exothermic reaction Endothermic reaction
Exothermic reaction are the one in which heat energy is released. So if heat is liberated such reactions are exothermic reactions Endothermic reaction are the one in which heat energy is absorbed. So if heat is absorbed then we can say that such reactions are endothermic reactions.
Exo means release Endo means absorb
Delta H is negative
( delta H = HP - HR)
Delta H is positive
Energy of reactant is more than the product Energy of product is more than reactant
Ex., Photosynthesis, evaporation Ex., Respiration, combustion
