How can we say that (alloys) can be called solid solutions ? As their particles are large and they scatter light .......

Solids in solids in general are called solid sols. For e.g. gemstones. But when metal combines with other metal, a special name is given to the sol called alloys. For e.g. brass, bronze, steel.etc. Alloys have properties which are different from the constituent metals. They are stronger than metals from which they are made.
