Question

how can we write a decimal form of any random rational or irrational number?

Open in App
Solution

Any real number that cannot be written in fraction form is an irrational number. These numbers include the non-terminating, non-repeating decimals (pi, 0.45445544455544445555..., 2, etc.).

To convert fractions to decimals:
  1. If the fraction is a mixed number, change it to an improper fraction.
  2. Divide the numerator by the denominator.
  3. If the division doesn't come out evenly, round the decimal off.
