Open in App
Solution

Sulphuric acid (H2SO4)is an important reagent since it is used in the manufacture of many chemicals. Sulphur dioxide (SO2) is formed by the reaction of concentrated sulphuric acid (H2SO4) with sulphur (S). Water(H2O) is obtained as a by-product of the reaction.

S(s)+2H2SO4(conc.)3SO2(g)+2H2O(l)(Sulphur)(Sulphurdioxide)
