Question

How can you make distilled water conducting?

Open in App
Solution

  1. Pure water or distilled water does not contain any dissolved salts, so it does not conduct electricity.
  2. To make it conducting, we add a pinch of common salt since salt solutions are good conductors of electricity.
  3. Salt have free ions which carry current through the solution.

Therefore, a solution of distilled water and salt would conduct electricity.
