Question

How can you obtain fertilised and unfertilised chicken eggs?

Open in App
Solution

  • Usually, chickens lay eggs in the presence or absence of a rooster (cock).
  • Therefore, those chickens which lay eggs after mating with the rooster (cock), produce fertilised eggs which will be hatched by the chicken and produce chicks.
  • Hence the opposite is true, those chickens that lay eggs without a rooster produce unfertilized eggs.
