Solution

Understanding the concept:

  • Air is a mixture of various gases like nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, and helium and also includes water vapor.
  • Inhaled air which we take in is called a fresh air rich of oxygen.
  • Exhaled air is an air which we take out rich in carbon dioxide.

The explanation of water vapor:

  • Water is formed when sugar (food) is broken by oxygen in respiration (along with carbon dioxide).
  • As a result, exhaled air has significantly more water vapour than inhaled air.

Let's see if there's any water vapour in exhaled air.

  • When we put a mirror in front of our mouth & exhale into it, water droplets will appear on the mirror's surface.
  • This is due to the fact that during exhale, water vapour is released (breathing out).
  • These water vapors are in more quantity than inhale air.
