The correct option is A Using bar magnet in the magnetic field
Take a current carrying straight wire.
Choose a point near wire and perform the following steps:
1. Apply Right hand thumb rule and find direction of magnetic field. Note down your analysis.
2. Bring a freely hanging bar magnet near the wire. It will align itself along the field lines such that field lines will leave North Pole and enter South Pole outside the magnet. Accordingly, derive magnetic field lines.
3. Verify that step 1 and step 2 yield same result.
4. Repeat step 1 to 3 for other positions near the wire.
