Carbon skeleton produced during respiration such as . α-ketoglutarate, OAA etc. intermediate are used as precursor for biosynthesis of other molecules in the cell.
α-ketoglutarate formed during krebs cycle is used to synthesised glutamine from glutamate by glutamine synthetase.
Oxaloacetic acid is used in various cycle like urea cycle and gluconeogenesis etc .
