Solution

Dear Student,

n =3 and l=2 represents 3d orbitaland, m=0 stands for 3dz2 orbitaland according to Pauli's principle, a maximum of two electrons can occupy an orbitalTherefore, only 2 electrons can be present in 3dz2 orbital and these two electrons will have the same value of n, l and m quantum numbers. Only the spin quantum number will vary.Hence, 2 electrons can have n=3, l=2 and m=0.
