Open in App
Solution

Centralised planning led to economic growth in the Soviet Union in the early part of the 20th century because through central planning, the Soviet government was able to devote the resources of the country to industrialization. Prior to that, the Soviet Union was mostly an agricultural country. However, through central planning, the Soviet government decided that it will put most of the resources of the country into industry. Rapid industrialization led to rapid economic growth.
