In West-Indies, British army official played a crucial role in expansion of cricket. They constituted cricket clubs and integrated cricket pitches in their garrisons. Other reason was social one. Other countries always viewed this nation as a collaboration of different island-nations.So west-indians wanted to show them through cricket that they were united. Also cricket was viewed as instrument of colonisation, so to show and feel freedom , they waged war on cricket field. Britishers gave the slave and their descendants freedom to play cricket and other games. this gave the feeling of self-confidence. They were allowed to play with officials and with-themselves.
