How did Fitzgerald treat Mrs Pearson's Family?

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,

In the play 'Mother's Day', the two main characters, Mrs Fitzgerald and Mrs Pearson are described as opposite personalities. Mrs. Pearson is docile and meek whereas Mrs Fitzgerald is bold and assertive. Mrs. Pearson often complained to Mrs. Fitzgerald that her family takes her for granted. One day, Mrs Fitzgerald suggested that they should exchange their souls so that she can teach the Pearson family a lesson. Mrs Fitzgerald makes the Pearson family realise the importance of a woman in the house. She refused to take their orders and gave them a cold response. She was able to put the family in their proper places which made them realise their mistake. After Mrs Pearson and Mrs Fitzgerald got back in their original bodies, Mrs Pearson got the love and respect of her family which she deserved in the first place.
