Forest acts impacted villagers in the following manner:

Villagers- As a result of colonial policies, Villagers were not allowed to access Reserved forests. Villagers needed permission for entry in the forests. The timing of their entry and departure was specified The forest laws prohibited the villagers from hunting , those who were caught hunting were punished for poaching. It brought about huge displacement of people .Taxes were imposed on people. Grazing and hunting were restricted . People were forced to steal wood from the forest and dependant on forest guards.
