b. Amid growing dissatisfaction and crisis, Diem criticised the French for leaving North Vietnam to communist..
c. He later rejected proposals of Geneva accord and refused to hold elections in South Geneva.
d. He came to weild absolute power
built a repressive and authoritarian government and did not tolerate any opposition
e. Diem retained a French law that permitted Christianity but outlawed Buddhism.
